Logi Bolt Software, Drivers Download, Manual Setup – Besides being popular among home users, Logitech mice and keyboards are also widely used among office workers. However, that did not prevent the Swiss manufacturer from focusing its focus even deeper into the business segment by launching a new peripheral product line, the MX Master Series for Business.
The lineup consists of the MX Master 3 for Business mouse, MX Anywhere 3 for Business, and the MX Keys for Business keyboard. Each device offers the same features as its non-business version, except for the connectivity aspect. In the business version, all devices come with a new USB-A dongle titled Logi Bolt.

Instead of using the usual 2.4 GHz wireless network, Bolt uses Bluetooth Low Energy as its base. Its purpose is to provide a much more secure connection between peripherals and the computer. Technically, Bolt supports Bluetooth Security Mode 1, Security Level 4, with Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman P-256 (ECDH) and AES-CCM encryption methods. Simply put, this encryption technique is designed so that the device and its receiver unit can only communicate with each other.

Without the Bolt dongle, each peripheral can still be connected to the computer using its built-in Bluetooth connection. But in that scenario, the security level will drop to Security Level 2 for the mouse and Security Level 3 for the keyboard. Besides being more secure, Bolt promises a more stable connection thanks to low latency, even when users are in very busy work environments, which generally involve hundreds of wireless devices operating simultaneously.
The maximum connection radius is 10 meters, and one Bolt dongle can connect up to six devices at once to a computer. Supported operating systems include Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Linux, Chrome OS, and Android.

So far, there is no information about the prices for the products in the MX Master Series for Business line. The Logi Bolt dongle itself is planned to retail for $15. However, it should be noted that only compatible devices have the Bolt logo (like a lightning bolt) at the bottom. In other words, Bolt cannot be used with non-business versions of the MX Master line of devices.
In addition to the business version of the MX Master line, Logitech has also released the Ergo Series for the Business peripheral line.
