Logitech Adaptive Gaming Kit Review

In the middle of last year, Microsoft introduced the Xbox Adaptive Controller, a unique peripheral explicitly created for gamers with physical limitations. The shape, which at first glance resembles a turntable, was deliberately made so that people with disabilities can still enjoy gaming sessions even if they cannot hold a gamepad.

Design and Features

Microsoft also designed this device as a hub, meaning it can be connected to various additional peripherals, such as a significant trigger button that can be stepped on like a pedal. The problem is that these extra peripherals don’t come cheap; the cheapest is $40, which is for one individual button only.

The good news is, from the beginning of the development of the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Microsoft has invited some partners to maximize compatibility. One of those invited was Logitech, and now they are ready with their offer, namely the Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit.

The Adaptive Gaming Kit was created to complement the Xbox Adaptive Controller. The bundle includes three small buttons (35 mm in diameter), three large buttons (65 mm in diameter), two pedal-shaped trigger buttons, and four pressure-sensitive buttons. Everything can be programmed as needed, and Logitech has included some stickers to mark it post-configuration.

Accompanying the buttons are two types of velcro pads, one flat and one bending, so they can, for example, be wrapped around the wrist. Customization is the main selling point of the Adaptive Gaming Kit, and users are free to adjust the function and position of the buttons according to their tastes and needs.

Logitech Adaptive Gaming Kit Price

But the essential part of the Adaptive Gaming Kit is the price. This complete bundle can be purchased for just $99. So with a capital of $200 (Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit + Xbox Adaptive Controller), people with disabilities can play games as comfortably as other gamers.
