Logitech MK650 Combo Review

MK650 Combo Software and Driver Update Download – Logitech has recently focused on the needs of business users with its range of mice and keyboards. Earlier this year, it introduced a new Business edition of its popular MX mouse and keyboard that uses Logitech’s proprietary Bolt USB wireless adapter to provide enhanced security. However, high-end MX products are expensive, with keyboard and mouse combos costing $200-$250.

That’s a massive outlay for enterprise customers who may need hundreds of devices, so Logitech has launched the more affordable Signature MK650 Combo For Business, including a keyboard and mouse, for just $69.99. The combo is available in black or white and sold through Logitech business resellers.

Design

The MK650 Combo is a good choice for those who may now be working from home. The lightweight plastic Signature K650 keyboard, despite K650 having a not-too-slender design, has a solid build and has a palm rest that the MX keyboard doesn’t have. The lock also works well, so it should be comfortable enough to work long hours. The Signature M650 mouse feels sturdier (a large variant and a left-handed version are available).

Features

The full-size K650 keyboard includes a numeric keypad and the standard top row of Function keys, while the M650 Mouse has four keys and a scroll wheel. You can switch the mouse wheel between horizontal and vertical scrolling when you press any side buttons. The Logitech Options+ app also allows you to customize mouse buttons and Function keys to creating profiles that work with the apps you often use.

Thankfully, the recently updated Logi Options+ is much more for macOS friendly than ever. However, the MK650 does not support the Flow option, which allows the more expensive MX mouse and keyboard to be paired with multiple computers and mobile devices, and to transfer files between them (like Apple’s Universal Control, but introduced years earlier).

A disappointing drawback is that this MK650 Combo device does not include a rechargeable battery. There’s a standard AA battery included, with two batteries lasting 36 months on the keyboard, while one battery will keep the mouse running for 24 months.
