Logitech PRO VR Headset Software, Driver, User Manual – We were excited when we first heard that the Logitech G Pro Gaming Headset was getting a new version for the Oculus Quest 2. Will there be a new shape designed, or maybe it can be connected seamlessly? Will it clip onto the official Elite Strap or even resemble the Vive Audio Deluxe Strap that many have worn for comfort and a superior audio solution? Check out the reviews.
Design and Features
The Logitech Pro VR headset and G333 VR earbuds (which we reviewed) are the only official audio solutions for the Oculus Quest 2. Pro VR has been designed with the world’s leading esports pros to help enhance the experience and comfort. Pro VR features faux leather ear cushions to offer passive noise isolation, 50 mm PRO-G drivers for gaming audio, and durable quality using a premium steel and aluminum alloy.
In the purchase package, you will get an external USB. There is the Pro headset, a 3.5 mm audio cable with in-line controls, and a shorter audio cable to connect it to the Quest 2. If your desktop does not allow a single audio connection, there is an input cable. And audio splitter outputs. A detachable boom microphone is also available.
The Pro VR headset looks premium and comfortable, with the silver Logitech G logo on the side of each earcup. The headband has several Pro brands on the top and feels soft and comfortable when worn on your head. The faux leather earpads contain a soft and comfortable foam material, and there are some left and right handwriting details to quickly determine the correct orientation of the headset when you wear it.
Audio Quality and Connection
There are only two connections on the left ear cup. One is for connecting a boom microphone, and the other is for the 3.5mm audio cable jack for the Quest 2 cable or a longer desktop cable with a built-in microphone silencer and volume control. The length of this braided cable is about 2m, which is very long for desktop gaming use. The in-line microphone and volume control are about 30cm from the headset, making it easy enough for you to access.
The Oculus Quest 2 audio cable is approximately 9 inches long, With a straight-end design connecting to the left earcup on the headset and an angled connection attaching to the Oculus Quest 2 headphone port. This length is almost correct, not too long to be too slack or short enough to give. You have enough room so you can move around without feeling constrained.
The boom microphone has a long enough range to be slight to the left corner of your mouth. There’s a built-in sponge to reduce wind or pop from the microphone, and you can also take it off when you don’t need it or if you want to clean it after you use it.
Along with the quality of your sound, the noise-isolating rates of the faux leather earpads do a great job of drowning out outside noise, and they help increase the overall depth of sound that Logitech Pro VR headsets can offer.
