Logitech Zone 750 Review

The Logitech Zone 750 is a wired USB-connected headset for the office/professional user segment. With a rotatable boom microphone, The Logitech Zone 750 only offers USB connections. USB C is the default connector, but you can use the included adapter to connect to a standard USB port.

Design and Features

The construction of the headset feels quite sturdy. There is no earcup swiveling/twisting on Zone 750 because the earcup attachment points are stiffer. The earcups are mated to a metal band that slides onto the main headband. The headband is lightly padded and 7/8″ wide. It seems a bit flimsy for long-term use combined with the lighter padding, but the headset is light enough, which helps to compensate for this.

Each earcup is loaded with 40mm drivers (pretty standard size for many headphones). The earcups measure 2.5″ and feature approx. 5/8″ soft padding (approximately 1/8-1/4″ compression when pressed) wrapped in faux leather.

The boom microphone features active noise cancellation through a dual microphone setup. It can block out environmental sounds while allowing your voice to be heard clearly. 40mm drivers have pretty standard sensitivity and frequency response specs – they’re lower on the impedance scale (32 ohms), so they won’t draw as much power if you’re mobile.

A carrying pouch and the USB mentioned above C to USB A adapter are included with the headset. The carrying pouch is a nice nylon (possibly polyester) bag but pretty basic with a strap and clamp. Inside the pouch is a mini pocket to hold the adapter, a nice little touch to avoid losing it.

Performance Test

For usage, we’ve been using Microsoft Teams, listening to music, and connecting it to our Android phone via the USB C port. We also downloaded the Logi Tune app, which allows us to adjust microphone levels, sidetones, and equalizers. Seamless Teams integration. Install and ready to use. Call control worked without a hitch.

The noise canceling mic kept us sounding crisp and clear, with multiple fans (2 tower fans and box fans) running within 5 feet of us. This microphone has the best noise cancellation we’ve encountered in any headset. The in-ear cups do a good job of blocking out external noise but fall short of their over-the-ear competition.

With the Logi Tune app, we adjust our equalizer based on our usage – Podcast settings for calls and volume boost for music. For music, we avoided bass boost as everything sounded too flat. Overall the headphones are OK for music. The ear cups don’t provide enough insulation or provide a good enough seal to let the driver shine.

They’re not that bad, but they’re just a little flat compared to our over-ear headsets that use similar 40mm drivers. For calls and presentations, the podcast setup is excellent. The sound coming through is super clear and easy to hear. Using our phones is quite easy.
